PEGs & sodium chloride / We’ve had numerous requests to remove PEGs from our care formulations over the years. But we didn’t want to simply replace them with salts, which we’ve never included in our formulations. Instead, we gave our specialist formulator the space and time to perfect the holy grail of haircare creation; PEG and Sodium Chloride-free.

wheat / These formulations feature rice and quinoa proteins in place of wheat.

gluten / OCS care has always been gluten-free but having wheat listed in our ingredient list - even though hydrolysed wheat contains no traceable gluten - has often caused confusion. This new range is confusion-free gluten-free.

silicones / We’re not against water soluble silicones; they have their uses. But when silicone features in every product across a haircare and styling regime, it becomes difficult to remove resulting in troublesome build-up. Our philosophy? Use them where they’re needed, but not where they’re not. You won’t find them in care.

synthetic fragrances / OCS care features 100% natural aromatics and essential oils instead.

and more / Also off the menu are parabens, propylene glycol, SLS and SLES.

but, to be clear... We’re not here to ingredient shame; what’s right for some, isn’t right for others.
The choice of what and what not to include in these formulations is just us doing us.
