Ryan began his hairdressing journey in 2011 as an apprentice in a small family-run salon, where his passion for creativity and connection first took root. After several years behind the chair, he explored a variety of paths — from selling cars and homes to managing a pub, and even spending three years as a drag performer. During this time, he also founded an online wig-styling business for stage and performance, keeping him connected to his love of hair and providing at outlet for his creative side.
In his previous salon, Ryan worked extensively with Organic Colour Systems, and when the moment came to open his own space, the decision to continue with OCS was effortless.
Away from the salon, Ryan shares his life with his husband, their silver tabby Willow and Goldendoodle Winnie — who doubles as the salon's beloved mascot.
